Jake is a pretty balanced hound.  He has a big bawl mouth on track, several big dying bawls for a locate and a short bawl / chop on the tree. He generally is a sit down tree dog but will get on the wood as well.  He usually is a medium distance hunting dog, but will hunt deeper if nothing is moving.  He hunts the same by himself or with company.  He has, what we would describe as, a fairly cold nose and can pick up old tracks.  Jake has shown an ability to tree lay ups as well.  Jake is a big dog and weighs around 80-85 lbs in hunting shape.

Jake lives in the house and is an excellent house dog.  He is a member of the family and has a great disposition with people and especially kids.  He loves to lay around and take up space on the couch.
